A 10ª edição do Mutirão Nacional de Cirurgia da Criança ocorreu neste sábado, dia 7, em oito Estados mais o Distrito Federal. No Rio de Janeiro, foram atendidas 91 crianças que possuíam doenças de baixa complexidade como hérnia, fimose e hipospádia. Além destes casos, também foi feita uma operação de alta complexidade (gastrosquise) no Hospital Estadual da Criança.
O evento, organizado anualmente pela CIPE e suas regionais, tem como objetivo reduzir as filas de espera nos hospitais públicos do país para cirurgias pediátricas ambulatoriais, que são procedimentos simples, com duração de cerca de 30 minutos, onde o paciente é internado e recebe alta no mesmo dia. Além de beneficiar as crianças portadoras de doenças menos complexas, a ação social colabora, indiretamente, com os pacientes que apresentam casos mais complicados, que necessitam de internação pós-operatória.
Em 2016, participaram da ação social no Rio de Janeiro o Hospital Federal Cardoso Fontes, em Jacarepaguá, o Hospital Estadual da Criança, em Vila Valqueire, o Hospital Federal dos Servidores do Estado (HFSE), na Saúde, o Hospital Municipal Albert Schweitzer, em Realengo, e o Hospital São Zacharias, em Botafogo. O Norte Fluminense foi representado pelo Hospital Público Municipal de Macaé.
A diretoria da CIPERJ aproveita a oportunidade para agradecer a todos que participaram voluntariamente do evento, não apenas os cirurgiões pediatras mas os anestesistas, instrumentadores, enfermeiros, maqueiros, secretárias, auxiliares de serviços gerais, nutricionistas, enfim, todas equipes envolvidas. Graças a colaboração de todos, possibilitamos um Dia das Mães mais feliz para 91 famílias.
